News Features Offer Child Safety Tips Client: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
This series of print features and radio announcements issued through the North American Precis Syndicate over a three-year period offered practical advice to parents on how to keep children safer. Topics included holiday shopping, summer camp and amusement park safety, confronting the myth of stranger danger, online safety, trick-or-treating, and back to school. Select features were also translated and distributed to Spanish-language media. Tracking data reported that nearly 310 million people read these important safety tips in their newspapers or heard them on radio stations. A typical radio release generates 300-400 placements, and the 2005 holiday safety tips radio release netted 1,318 placements, with nearly 47% of them in the top 50 markets.
